Description
Temporary CUDA 12 source-change hosted artifact-reuse rehearsal for #3175 and #3176. Do not merge.
This draft targets the fixed CI mirror
pull-request/3176, using successful baseline run 40426114619 atfeb25b1b3d3c1744b680bf54ff10986ed4e59953. The ordinary PR baseline resolver and reusable workflows run unchanged. The net diff is one harmless CUDA 12 source comment. The selected plan rebuilds CUDA 12 bindings and its metapackage, reuses Core, Pathfinder, and the unchanged CUDA 13 wheels, then tests the CUDA 12 consumers. The hosted run selected that exact baseline, rather than falling back to a full rebuild.
The full hosted run passed on its first attempt: all 28 build jobs, all 20 selected GPU tests (13 Linux and 7 Windows), both source-distribution checks, documentation/link checks, and the final aggregate. Planned skips were accepted. Reused-Core Cython test-extension builds passed, and a re-uploaded Linux CPython 3.12 Core wheel is byte-identical to the baseline wheel. No pipeline fixes or retries were needed.
The complementary no-package-build Linux test-infrastructure scenario is #3238. Separate temporary PRs let it proceed concurrently without disturbing either run's queue positions. The actual review stack remains unchanged.
