Correctness

• Golden tests still pass bit-exactly (npm run test:gpu / npm run test:q38), or this PR adds a documented, default-off approximation switch.
• Speculative and plain decoding still produce identical streams (tests/test_mtp.js), if the engine changed.
• Code mode still works end to end (npm run e2e:code and node tests/e2e/preview_browser.mjs), if harness/ or the room's Code mode changed.

Performance (delete if not applicable)

• Added a row to docs/bench-log.md with hardware, commit, and before/after numbers (neutral results included).
• Room-tested on real devices: added a row to the "Room benchmarks by PR" table naming the devices and the standard prompt used (hello, meaning or japan).
