Owner decision: hide the Qwen3.5 122B MoE (qwen3.5-122b-moe) from users. The code stays so developers can still use it.

What stays (developer use)

  • room/models.js MODELS / SHAPE / CTX / FILES / NEED_GB / FILE_GB entries, the engine paths (R > 1 GQA kernels etc.), room-node split-GGUF support, tests/test_moe.js MODEL=122b, and the unit tests that use its shape. None of these changed.
  • Room page: only in the ?dev=1 developer select, as before. A tab that is already in a 122B room still shows the model's name.

What changed

  • CLI (cli/lib/lend.js): a new DEV_MODELS = ["qwen3.5-122b-moe"], gated like the preview kinds. pooled list, pooled host (and --model list), the menu and the pooled join "In a room running:" plan show it only with POOLED_DEV=1. If you name it without the flag, pooled host 122b fails with "qwen3.5-122b-moe is a developer model: set POOLED_DEV=1 to use it". pooled pull / pooled rm still accept the full key without the flag, the same as Flash. I picked this because it surprises users least: a device can still fetch it before joining a dev room, and anyone who pulled it with 0.4 can still free the 72.5 GB with pooled rm qwen3.5-122b-moe. pooled join still lends to a room that runs it (the room node has the model). New test in cli/test/lend_test.mjs.
  • Unknown models: the room node already refused an ai-load for a model it doesn't know with ai-error "unknown model X". A browser tab didn't check: it got a TypeError deep in the loader. It now refuses up front with a clear ai-error (room.js).
  • Docs, removed as a current feature: README model table, CHANGELOG [3.0.0] (summary line, --disk and 0.4.0 entries), docs/releases/3.0.md ("Other models"), cli/README, packages/room-node/README (ctx list; the split-GGUF example now names Flash), packages/openclaw/README, docs/openclaw.md, docs/tech-stack.md. docs-site pages: index, models, reference/models, terminal, reference/cli, reference/url-options, faq, openclaw, roadmap, contributing/models.
  • docs/models.md "Supported" keeps one row, marked developer only, hidden from users (?dev=1, POOLED_DEV=1).

Still there as history

docs/bench-log.md, docs/research/, docs/archive/, roadmap/.md, docs/rename-pooled.md, the CHANGELOG [1.0.0] engine line (qwen35moe: ... Qwen3.5-122B-A10B, which also appears on the docs-site changelog page), and code comments that cite measurements taken on it (room/plan.js, engine/). The landing page (index.html), p2p.html and site/ never mentioned it. The remaining "122" hits there are the GB10's "122 GB unified memory" and CSS/demo numbers.

Gates

  • deno test --no-check --parallel --allow-read tests/unit: 1423 passed, 0 failed, 5 ignored
  • npm run check: ok
  • npm run test:packages: 217 pass, 0 fail
  • cd cli && npm test: 172 pass, 0 fail (no optional-SDK failures in this environment)
  • docs-site astro build: ok, 60 pages. Grepping dist for 122B / A10B finds only the [1.0.0] history line on the changelog page.
  • Manual: pooled host --model list hides it, POOLED_DEV=1 lists it, and pooled host 122b exits 2 with the developer-model hint.

The 122B stays in room/models.js, the engine and its tests for developers, but is no
longer offered or advertised:
- CLI: pooled list / host / pull and the join plan list it only with POOLED_DEV=1
(lend.js DEV_MODELS); named without it, host says it is a developer model; pull / rm
still take its full key. pooled join still lends to a room that runs it.
- Room page: unchanged, only in the ?dev=1 select. A tab now refuses an ai-load for a
model its catalogue lacks with a clear ai-error, as the room node already does.
- Docs: removed from README, CHANGELOG [3.0.0], docs/releases/3.0.md, cli/README,
package READMEs, docs-site pages; docs/models.md keeps one developer-only row.
