💡 What: Removed nested try...except blocks within tightly nested spatial loops in safe_cell_removal and check_ecm_contact in favor of explicit dynamic boundary checks (self.dim.x and self.dim.y). Added explanatory comments as requested.

🎯 Why: In CompuCell3D, out-of-bounds SWIG object lookups throw exceptions that incur significant overhead. Bounding the variables logically prevents this much faster than exception handling on each iteration.

📊 Impact: Reduces overhead caused by try...except block evaluation across every pixel visited in search radii, improving loop execution time significantly.

🔬 Measurement: Added a unit test suite to verify cell removal and ECM contact logic still cleanly pass and handle edge conditions.
