🚨 Severity: MEDIUM
💡 Vulnerability: Bare except blocks that catch and swallow BaseException subclasses.
🎯 Impact: Swallow critical system-level signals (KeyboardInterrupt, SystemExit), which can cause local DoS and make the script hang when trying to terminate it.
🔧 Fix: Replaced all bare except: blocks with except Exception: to only catch standard application-level errors.
✅ Verification: Created an AST-based static analysis test test_security.py that confirms no ast.ExceptHandler with type=None is present, ran pytest, and verified via grep.
