🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Clear the in-flight key when a like or queue read fails.
readLiked sets link.liked = { uri } before the request. When the read fails, the function returns and leaves that key in place. pollApi then skips readLiked for this track, because link.liked?.uri === uri. One transient error (a timeout or a 5xx) therefore hides the heart for the whole track. readQueue has the same behavior for Up next while the dialog is in sight. The code comment says this is intended for likes. For a queue that only needs one retry, the cost is the same. Reset the key when the read fails and still targets this track. A later poll can then retry it.
Proposed fix

- if (on === undefined || s !== spotify || link?.liked?.uri !== uri) return
+ if (s !== spotify || link?.liked?.uri !== uri) return
+ if (on === undefined) { if (!a.ok && link.liked.on === undefined) link.liked = undefined; return }📝 Committable suggestion

Take the token-file lock before login writes the token file.
Refresh and LogoutMain hold lockFile(path) for their whole read-modify-write. finish calls WriteTokens without that lock. The race works like this:
- Another session's
spotify-refreshreads the old file (for example,Gen: 5). - That refresh sends its token request.
- The login writes the new account's tokens with
Gen: 1. - The refresh then writes the old account's tokens with
Gen: 6.
The new connection is lost without any error, and the old login comes back. A user who connects again while an earlier connection is refreshing can hit this. Take the same lock around the write.

Third of four PRs for the music player: connecting Spotify through the person's own Web API app. Without a connection everything works as before, through the local app.
/glowup spotify connect(orkin the music dialog) walks through creating a developer app and pasting its Client ID, then runsglowup-installer spotify-login: PKCE, a loopback callback on127.0.0.1, and a paste field for when the browser is on another machine. No client secret.spotify-refreshholds an O_EXCL lock and a generation counter, so two sessions refreshing at once make one network call.spotify-logouttakes the same lock, so a refresh in flight can't write a token back after disconnect.l), Up next on the tab, and shuffle, repeat and volume on Linux too.(local)shows while the API isn't answering and the local app is used. A write falls back to the local app only on a 429; after a 5xx, a timeout or a busy endpoint the person sees "Spotify is not answering right now", because the write may have landed and a local fallback would apply it twice./glowup spotifyshows the connection;/glowup spotify disconnectremoves the token file.Known limit, documented in
docs/spotify.md: the engine gives the mod no way to kill a child's process group, so after Cancel the login helper can live up to five minutes, and agreeing in the browser in that window still connects. Each login gets its own paste file, so a lingering helper can't take the next login's address.Checked live in tmux with a stand-in
xdg-open(no browser opened, Spotify not running):/glowup spotifyunconnected, the tab and dialog without a connection, the connect steps, Copy address, the bad Client ID error, the waiting step, the paste field taking the keyboard, Cancel and Escape ending the helper. Not checked yet, because they need a Spotify developer app: login, refresh, the heart, Up next and the API's art host (#51).Summary by CodeRabbit
