What

  • Adds the August 1–14, 2026 Executive Signal eligibility edition.
  • Resolves the available current snapshot to release-0.1.0-framework and the previous period to July 2026.
  • Records that no previous frozen release exists and the current artifact contains zero published production research records.
  • Withholds all comparative changes, normalized values, concentration shares, and the composite score instead of converting an absent baseline into zeros.
  • Adds the requested release diff, trend components, lineage, analytics separation, concentration, limitations, and validation artifacts under BATCH-2026-012.
  • Keeps data/trends/2026-08.json as an explicit empty array because no canonical trend snapshot is eligible for admission.

Why

The trend method requires two comparable frozen releases. Publishing substantive signals from staging work or from a single empty framework snapshot would turn corpus construction into an unsupported market claim. This PR creates a transparent evidence-gap edition while preserving the release and denominator disclosures needed for review.

Impact

  • Material signals admitted: 0
  • Current eligible sources: 0
  • Previous frozen release: unavailable
  • Canonical trend snapshots added: 0
  • Public research-record count: unchanged at 0
  • Staging and synthetic records remain excluded from the public build

Validation

  • Frozen-release ID and fingerprint match the deterministic manifest
  • Denominator, weight-total, null-change, normalized-value, concentration, and OFF-ownership checks
  • Source eligibility and statement-lineage checks
  • Unsupported market-language and engagement/evidence separation checks
  • Structured data, provenance, publication, rights, and content validation
  • Lint and type checking
  • 24 unit tests across four files
  • Public build: 28 static pages
  • Search index: 28 pages
  • Browser release-artifact test; two fixture-dependent UI tests skipped by repository configuration
  • Artifact verification: 22 checksums; staging and fixtures absent
  • Near-duplicate prose and Git whitespace checks

Review focus

Please confirm that a baseline-only evidence-gap edition is the desired treatment until the repository has two approved, comparable frozen releases. Named human review remains pending.
