| Script | Purpose |
|--------|---------|
| `./scripts/run-tests.sh` | Run the full Vitest test suite with coverage |
| `pnpm verify` | Run every framework-level check in one pass (`scripts/verify-all.sh`) |
| `pnpm test` | Behavioral tests for the scripts and Claude Code hooks (`scripts/__tests__/`) |
| `./scripts/run-tests.sh` | Run a generated API project's Vitest suite with coverage |
| `./scripts/check-types.sh` | TypeScript type checking (strict mode) |
| `./scripts/security-scan.sh` | Security audit for dependency vulnerabilities |

All checks must pass before a pull request will be reviewed.

### Testing the scripts themselves

The automation scripts are production tooling, so they have their own test
suite. Each test in `scripts/__tests__/` shells out to the real script against
a throwaway project directory, with fake `pnpm`, `npx`, or `k6` shims on `PATH`
so nothing touches the network. Run it locally with:

```bash
pnpm test # whole suite
pnpm test -- scripts/__tests__/security-scan.test.js # one file
pnpm test:watch # watch mode
```

CI runs the same suite in the `script-tests` job. When you change a script,
add or update its test file; `scripts/README.md` describes each script's flags,
exit codes, and the `pipeline.config.json` keys it reads.
