Amplitude reworked its plans on July 3, 2026. Update the PostHog-vs-Amplitude comparison data to match Amplitude's current pricing page: - Surveys: "Paid only" was wrong — Guides & Surveys are now included on the free plan (limited volume). Update the table value and blog prose. - Analytics & Feature Flags free tier: enrich "10k monthly tracked users" to "10k MTUs (2M events/mo)" to reflect Amplitude's current event-led framing. - Session replay stays at 1,000 (the free-tier limit; the 10k figure belongs to the paid Plus tier). Amplitude reworked its plans on July 3, 2026, so the PostHog-vs-Amplitude comparison table understated (and in one place mislabeled) Amplitude's current free tier. Updated
src/hooks/competitorData/amplitude.tsxand the matching prose incontents/blog/posthog-vs-amplitude.mdx:Paid only— but Guides & Surveys are now included on Amplitude's free plan (limited volume). Corrected the table value and the blog copy that called it a "paid add-on."10k monthly tracked users→10k MTUs (2M events/mo)to reflect Amplitude's current event-led framing of the free plan.Note on scope: the originating report suggested 50K MTUs and 5,000 replays, but those describe Amplitude's pre-July-3 Starter plan; applying them would overstate the current free tier. Values here match Amplitude's live pricing page and multiple current third-party breakdowns.
Why: this is a high-traffic comparison page, and the surveys row in particular made Amplitude look less generous than its own pricing page, which conflicts with our steelman standard for competitor comparisons.
