This repository hosts organization-wide GitHub Discussions for the Root Sequence ecosystem. It is the place for ideas that cross repository boundaries, questions whose destination is not yet clear, public planning, and conversation about how the projects relate.
Discussions help ideas find a home. They are not themselves the canonical home of durable project decisions.

Use this hub for:
- announcements and organization updates;
- cross-project connections and tensions;
- questions about where material belongs;
- roadmap and planning conversations;
- proposals that affect more than one repository;
- Root Sequence, Liberated Intelligence, UCF, Being Human(e), Liberation Mass, Community Infrastructure, Coherent World, and No One Noticed meta-discussion;
- onboarding, clarification, show-and-tell, and open exploration.
A topic belongs here when it spans projects, needs public discussion before placement, or concerns the organization itself.
Concrete changes limited to one repository should normally become an issue or pull request in that repository.
Community Infrastructure's working repository is currently private, so public discussion here should describe only material intended to be public. Do not copy private participant research, sensitive pilot information, security details, or unpublished working material into this hub.
The actual GitHub Discussion categories are the interface-level source of truth. Useful category purposes include:
- Announcements — official project and organization updates;
- General — open conversation that does not need a narrower channel;
- Ideas — proposals, seeds, experiments, and early connections;
- Q&A — questions with potentially reusable answers;
- Show & Tell — demos, prototypes, publications, and project progress;
- Polls — lightweight preference checks, not a substitute for consent or governance;
- Root Sequence — conceptual commons, systems research, and ecosystem orientation;
- Liberated Intelligence — intelligence, agency, ownership, autonomy, and liberation;
- Universal Coherence Framework — UCF concepts, applications, tests, limits, and critiques;
- Being Human(e) — field-guide themes, examples, structure, and accessibility;
- Liberation Mass — gathering, ritual, commons, facilitation, mutual aid, and participant care;
- Community Infrastructure — public discussion of community discovery, coordination, mutual aid, resources, governance, accessibility, federation, prototypes, research questions, and ecosystem relationships;
- Coherent World / No One Noticed — public, non-spoiler ecosystem and project discussion;
- Project Planning — coordination across repositories;
- Root Sequence Meta — organization structure, naming, boundaries, and direction.
Do not post private story canon, unpublished drafts, contributor data, participant data, credentials, security details, or sensitive archival material into a public discussion.
A useful discussion should eventually produce one or more of the following:
- a concise summary of what was learned;
- links to relevant repositories and prior discussions;
- an identified canonical destination;
- an issue or pull request for concrete work;
- an explicit note when the question remains open or contested.

For fiction and worldbuilding, a discussion does not create canon. Accepted changes must be reconciled through the World Bible and Canon Ledger in the private Coherent World workspace.
For Community Infrastructure, a public discussion does not override the private repository's participant research, design decisions, threat model, or pilot records.
For the real Museum of Ordinary Life, discussion cannot override the Museum's consent, provenance, stewardship, privacy, or preservation rules.
- Start new threads freely; early ideas are welcome.
- Give the discussion a title someone else could find later.
- Distinguish evidence, interpretation, speculation, and personal reaction.
- Cross-link the relevant repository, document, issue, source, or prior conversation.
- Preserve disagreement instead of manufacturing premature consensus.
- Summarize long threads before they become impossible to navigate.
- Move concrete work into the correct repository once its destination is clear.
- Keep private-project details at the level intentionally approved for public discussion.
- Be curious, respectful, specific, and willing to revise.
These documents define the expectations and tone of the space.
Root Sequence is an evolving ecosystem of interconnected questions, frameworks, practices, real-world experiments, stories, tools, and institutions.
One major path is:
Root Sequence discovers. Community Infrastructure tests. Coherent World designs. No One Noticed experiences. The Museum of Ordinary Life preserves.
This hub is where threads meet before they root somewhere more durable.
