release: 0.8.15 (gated model works from the CLI with an API key) - #224
0.8.15. Fixes the launch blocker found testing 0.8.14 against production, and bumps the version.
0.8.14 published the three harnesses (shannon, deepsec, vvah), but with only WALLY_CLOUD_KEY they refused deepseek-v4.1-flash-1017-uncensored ("not available on this account") even though the same key calls the model (200) and the catalogue lists it.
Cause: the CLI built its model list from GET /v1/models alone; the gateway strips every private (listed = false) model from that list for every key, so the granted account could never select it. Fix:account_models_with also adds non-decisions-only models the grant-aware catalogue names that /v1/models omitted. No grant → never listed. Done in the CLI, not the gateway filter (no caller identity there; a mistake would leak the private id to every key).
Tests: new red→green test + no-grant and listed-once guards; cargo test --lib 621 passed, clippy -D warnings + fmt clean, golden suite passes, check-versions consistent at 0.8.15. Verified live on production with an API key: deepsec and vvah resolve the model via https://inference.runanywhere.ai/v1 and hand off the right config; Shannon launched a real scan on it.
Label release:patch → merging tags v0.8.15 and publishes.
Models listed in your account’s catalog but missing from the model list are now included, with catalog pricing. Models marked as decisions-only and models already in the list are excluded.
Found testing the 0.8.14 harnesses against PRODUCTION with only an API key
(WALLY_CLOUD_KEY): `wally deepsec|vvah|shannon -m deepseek-v4.1-flash-1017-
uncensored` refused it, "not available on this account", although the same key
calls it (200) and the catalogue lists it.
The CLI built its list from GET /v1/models alone, and the gateway strips every
`listed = false` (private, grant-only) model from that list for EVERY key, so
the one account entitled to it could never pick it. The control plane's
catalogue (GET /v1/models/catalog) is grant-aware -- it names a private model
only to an account that holds it -- and account_models_with already fetched it
for prices. It now also adds any non-decisions-only model the catalogue names
that /v1/models omitted (no limits: the catalogue carries price only, so the
entry has no window, as primary_first does for a model it knows by id).
An account without the grant still never sees the model (the catalogue does
not list it). Fixed in the CLI rather than the gateway filter: that filter is
an ASGI wrapper over response bytes with no caller identity, and a wrong change
there would leak the private id to every key.
Red before / green after: a_granted_private_model_the_gateway_list_omits_is_
added_from_the_catalogue FAILED, then passed; the no-grant and listed-once
guards pass throughout. cargo test --lib (serial): 621 passed; clippy -D
warnings and fmt clean. Verified live against production with an API key: all
three harnesses now accept the model.

account_models_with now adds eligible entries from the account’s catalog when they are missing from /v1/models. Added entries receive catalog pricing and default values for other fields. Tests cover inclusion, exclusion, and duplicate handling. Package and product version values change to 0.8.15.

0.8.14 shipped the three hosted harnesses (shannon, deepsec, vvah) before the
account model-list fix in the previous commit: with only an API key
(WALLY_CLOUD_KEY) every harness refused the gated
deepseek-v4.1-flash-1017-uncensored although the key calls it. 0.8.15 carries
that fix, so the gated model works from the CLI for API-key users.
versions.toml, Cargo.toml, Cargo.lock and the Homebrew formula move together;
scripts/ci/check-versions.py: "versions.toml consistent: product 0.8.15".

Harnesses: list a granted private model in the account model list
release: 0.8.15 (gated model works from the CLI with an API key)
Oct 26, 2026
This loop exposes grant-only IDs in the live Codex catalogue, but refresh_model_cache_now writes models.json from /v1/models only. Codex accepts request model IDs only from that cache. A grant-only selection can therefore use the primary model silently, or fail the initial model check before launch.
Append non-empty, non-decisions_only IDs from fetch_catalog in the cache writer. This fixes both paths with one cache correction.

Update refresh_model_cache_now to include eligible grant-only IDs from
console.fetch_catalog when writing models.json: append non-empty IDs that are
not decisions-only and are not already present in the /v1/models IDs. Preserve
the existing cache-writing behavior for IDs already returned by /v1/models.
