Summary

Add Get-UniqueUPN and Test-UPNExist to IT-ToolBox 3.3.0, using the corrected standalone implementations and the module's existing UPN syntax policy.

Scope

  • Export the two UPN helpers, bringing the supported API to 33 commands.
  • Validate generated candidates before directory lookup and preserve explicit forest/domain scope.
  • Retain escaped LDAP filters, bounded collision attempts and terminating directory errors.
  • Handle missing optional middle names and validate explicit server ports.
  • Update manifest, loader, README inventory, changelog, packaging expectations and tests.

PowerShell 7.4+ and existing exports remain unchanged. Module import and syntax validation do not require AD. Actual generation with availability checking and identity lookup require ActiveDirectory commands and connectivity. Unsupported generated names require explicit caller normalization; no silent transliteration occurs.

Validation

  • Pester tests run — 430 passed, 0 failed, 6 skipped on macOS
  • Module imports successfully — including extracted archive validation
  • Documentation updated where needed
  • No unrelated files changed

Notes

The module archive builds successfully. Directory operations are mocked; live AD, GC discovery, authentication and replication behavior remain unverified. Availability is a preflight check, not an atomic reservation.

This PR prepares 3.3.0 repository content; it does not create a release tag or publish the module.
