[Feature Request]: InfluxDB support

Problem / Motivation

This looks great, and I would install it in a heartbeat, but I also need InfluxDb support. For now, I have another solution running, but for me to switch over I want one backup solution, not multiple.. :)

Thanks for your feature request.

To be honest, I’ve never actually heard or used InfluxDB before. First, I need to assess how complex and worthwhile an implementation would be (costs vs. benefits), including in terms of time and maintenance.

I'll post here when I have more information.

What Version of Influx are you using?

At this point, 2.8 if I'm correct (latest version). For reference, at this point, I use this package, although it works well I would much more like a GUI. Here is the code they use for backing up, maybe that's something you can use?

There are two versions, and two slightly different ways of backing up, as you can see in the code above.

Thanks for the info. I see that there are currently three versions:

• InfluxDB 1.x
• InfluxDB 2.x
• InfluxDB 3 Core / Influx DB 3 Enterprise

Apparently, the backup process is different for all three, as far as I can tell at first glance.

I think the effort involved is quite significant, and I'm not sure how many people will actually use InfluxDB.

I'll keep this issue open to gauge interest. If it gets enough votes/reactions, I'll revisit and plan it properly. If interest stays low, I may close it down the line to keep the backlog clean. Maybe if I have time, I'll give it a try and test it out.

Sure! I've peeked at your code, and it looks great from an architect's viewpoint, I should be able to create it myself. I must admit that TS is not my forte.. And time-wise at this point (two small children)
