Hi, I built a macOS-focused fork of this project for a slightly different workflow, and I wanted to share it in case it is useful to others.

What is different from the original Windows-first route:

• Codex stays running on macOS
• iPhone connects through a private Tailscale URL
• first-time device approval happens in the local web UI through an Owner Admin panel
• service management is done with macOS shell scripts and optional launchd
• the workflow is aimed at “use iPhone to continue/control Codex on the Mac”, not remote desktop

What it is good for:

• single-user private setup
• checking session history from phone
• sending follow-up prompts from phone
• continuing Codex work on the Mac from anywhere
