Two badges next to the existing row: total downloads across every release, and the latest version including prereleases.
The download figure is worth having because it counts what the releases API counts, verified rather than assumed: shields reports 148 right now, which is exactly the sum of every asset's download_count from the API, so prereleases are included and the number will not quietly reset when the first stable ships. The latest-release badge carries include_prereleases for the same reason, otherwise it would show nothing at all until then.
Both are shields.io endpoints against this repository, no token, no workflow, nothing to maintain.
