Guidelines

This document reflects the patterns, components, and guidelines for creating a unified UI for the Tendrl project. They provide a unified language and consistent look and feel when designing applications within the Tendrl ecosystem, and serves as an addendum to www.patternfly.org .

Design Principles

We follow www.patternfly.org for all patterns, components, and guidelines and have adopted additional patterns when they don’t yet exist in PatternFly, though we will contribute new patterns and components developed in Tendrl.

Design Best Practices

  • All floating point numbers displayed in UI should show only 1 decimal place. The one exception is for values shown inside the donut of a donut chart due to lack of space in the donut footprint.

  • For integers, we will not show decimal places, e.g. counts, aggregation in the dashboard cards
