Hello and thank you for your great work!

I have installed the latest versions for my iPhone 13 (TigerTag RFID Connect, Beta, 1.1.0 13) and for my iMac 3,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 (Tiger Studio Manager, version 2.17.2 Electron 41.3.0).
On the iPhone, I can easily describe two Tags via the Dual-NFC function. Unfortunately, this does not work on the iMac and I can only describe one Tag.

Two things first, so we are all on the same versions:

We have not quite understood the problem yet, so could you tell us a little more about what you are doing on the iMac — the steps you follow, what you see on screen, and how your readers are connected?

Your iPhone has a single NFC antenna, so it writes a dual-tag pair by tapping one tag, then the other. On the desktop, the burn window shows one slot per connected reader and writes the chips that are physically sitting on them — so writing two tags in one pass needs two ACR122U readers (this is what the TigerPOD dual-reader stand is for). How many readers do you have connected to the iMac? If it is one, that would explain exactly what you are seeing, and we can tell you the right way to proceed. Hi Frank, thanks — and glad the phone side works well!

The difference is by design. On the phone, the single NFC antenna writes a twin pair one tag after the other. On the desktop, Tiger Studio Manager writes one chip per connected reader, at the same time — so a dual-tag write needs two ACR122U readers, one per chip. That's the whole idea behind the TigerPOD dual-reader stand: one simple, fast, reliable workflow, the same for everyone.

We keep improving Tiger Studio Manager and more is coming in the future — but for now, the recommended and reliable way to write two tags is a second ACR122U (they're inexpensive) to complete your TigerPOD. We've also just released the new TigerPOD Mini on MakerWorld, which makes the two-reader setup even simpler:
