Version: 0.1 Draft
The Humanoid SDK defines a proposed developer interface for applications executing on Humanoid OS.
Rather than issuing low-level motor commands, applications should request high-level humanoid capabilities from the runtime.
Illustrative capability requests include:
RequestWalk()
RequestStand()
RequestReach()
RequestGrasp()
RequestLift()
RequestCarry()
RequestToolUse()
RequestHumanContact()
RequestMissionAuthority()
RequestReleaseToken()
These names are proposed API forms, not a representation that all listed APIs are presently implemented or stable.
The SDK is intended to separate application intent from robot-specific actuator details.
Applications request capabilities; Humanoid OS determines how those capabilities are scheduled, governed, validated, coordinated, and executed on a particular embodiment.

Actuator Runtime
- stable high-level developer APIs;
- hardware abstraction;
- Constitution-aware execution;
- whole-body coordination;
- capability-based programming;
- separation between application intent and actuator authority.
Proposed SDK architecture. The current repository primarily documents intended interfaces. API names, signatures, transport mechanisms, and language bindings may change.
