This is the desktop-part of the heart rate monitor. The heart rate is measured via a light sensor and the differences in absorption of light by blood.

The following libraries are required:

• Qt4 or Qt5
• qtserialport: http://qt-project.org/wiki/QtSerialPort
• FFTW: http://www.fftw.org/
• Qwt: http://qwt.sourceforge.net/ (6.0.0)

Note that with Qt5 qtserialport is already included.

Linux

Installation is straight forward. Follow the tutorials from the links.

Windows (Qt5)

• Install MinGW and MSYS
• Install Qt5 (with QtSerialPort addon)
• Install Qwt
• Compile FFTW (in MSYS environment)

Ensure all components are in the PATH variable.
