The executable file will be created within the dist folder.

Execution

You can run the application directly or use the built executable:

# Run directly (cross-platform)
python main.py

# Or run the built executable from dist/ folder
  • On Windows: Double-click the .exe file or run it from command line
  • On Linux: Run the executable from terminal
  • On macOS: Run the executable from terminal or double-click the app bundle

Requirements

  • Platform-specific dependencies (see requirements files above)

Platform Support

PyCSSEditor is cross-platform and supports:

  • Windows (10+)
  • Linux (most distributions)
  • macOS (10.15+)

Note for Windows Users: The application previously used a .pyw extension. It has been changed to .py for cross-platform compatibility. On Windows, you can still run without a console window by using pythonw.exe main.py or building with PyInstaller (which automatically hides the console for GUI applications).
