fix(time-entries): display all accessible projects in quick time entry modal (#503) - #525
ThishankaM wants to merge 1 commit into
Conversation
…y modal (#503) - Load all accessible projects on open via projectsApiService.getMyProjectsToTasks() instead of limiting to 3 recent projects - Enable instant client-side search filtering on the project select dropdown - Exclude archived projects from getMyProjectsToTasks query in ProjectsController - Ensure team projects in HomePageController.getProjectsByTeam are ordered alphabetically by name - Add unit tests for LogTimeModal project and task loading
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe task-project endpoint excludes projects archived by the requesting user. The time-entry modal loads projects through that endpoint and filters them locally. Task requests use the selected project, with non-empty searches debounced by 200 ms. Team project results are sorted by name. ChangesTime-entry project selection

Ignore stale project responses when the modal closes or reopens.
The .then, .catch, and .finally callbacks update state without a cancellation guard. The effect has no cleanup. If open changes quickly, an older response can overwrite the newer project list. It can also call setProjectLoading(false) while the newer request is still pending. Add a cancelled flag and return a cleanup function from the effect.

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Ignore stale task responses after the selected project or search term changes.
fetchTasks runs without a cancellation guard. An older, slower response can overwrite tasks for a newer project or search term. The immediate empty-search path makes this more likely. The effect also has no cleanup for the pending timer when its dependencies change. Add a cancelled flag and return a cleanup function that clears the timer and sets the flag.
