FreeOS could download an update successfully but remain on the old version because the UI restarted only the Python backend while the Wails shell stayed alive. A failed portable swap could also delete the staged archive too early.\n\nThis hotfix relaunches the native desktop shell after download, waits for the previous instance to exit before claiming the single-instance lock, and retains the pending package until replacement and launch-readiness checks both pass. It bumps the release version to 0.0.9.\n\nValidation:\n- Go desktop tests: go test ./...\n- Python non-live suite: 3588 passed, 114 skipped\n- Ruff check/format and mypy strict: passed\n- Frontend targeted tests: 14 passed\n- TypeScript noEmit and production build: passed\n- Windows Wails desktop binary build: passed
