The agent suite can observe metadata patches but cannot inspect a client's stored state. Add a separate opt-in adapter runner that feeds deterministic v2 updates into a client and checks the returned metadata snapshots, including
{a:1,b:2}then{a:3}retainingb.The cases cover omission/empty patches, first-update removals, deletion, whole clears, nested replacement and replay over stale metadata. The adapter contract requires the client's actual decode/update path; the bundled fake adapter only verifies the runner and detects deliberately broken reducers. This does not affect the agent conformance verdict.
Validation: locked dependency sync and all 408 repository self-tests passed across sequential runs, including 26 new tests. Eight existing CLI cases had initial failures and passed unchanged reruns. Independent source review is complete.
Draft: no third-party client integration is validated yet. This proposes the small adapter contract and reusable cases before SDK integration; it is not a claim that a real client passes.
