Did the user delete the scriptum.lua file?
The only way i manage to make it work is to delete this file after the update and let your pack recreate it.
As it is created only if not exist, the user could still have the same line ending problem.
Let me know.

They report that Consul doesn't open at all. Can deleting scriptum.lua file help in this case?

Do you know if the game is in the regular or custom folder?
My modifications work only if the game is installed in the default folder.

I'm thinking about something, for me it worked by using user.script to load your pack, i don't inow if it work using workshop screen.
Plus i know the order in user.script is important to make things work.
