Second pass on the home page hero, after feedback: the lens should come out of the background with its light, the header and footer clashed with the dark hero, and the scroll felt wrong.

• Lens: now in the centre, between the headline and the actions. Its edge dissolves into the dark (masked SVG), and its light and a field of faint concentric rings spread over the whole hero. On load it lights up from black (about 2.5 s), then the light swells and fades on a 6 s breath. It follows the pointer a little (springs per layer) and dims as the page scrolls. The instrument ticks, progress arc and scroll parallax are removed.
• Activity log: one line at a time in a pill under the buttons. Without JS or with reduced motion it is the whole list, inline.
• Header: a page that opens with lens-hero gets the transparent header (data-over="lens", set in [...path].astro because heroSurface only knows surface bands), with light words and inputs. No white gap above the hero.
• Ending: on such a page, a closing cta-band right before the footer becomes a full-width dark scene with the lens light rising from below, and the footer continues the same dark.
• Fit: at 1440×900 the buttons are on the first screen; at 390 there is no sideways scroll.
• Checks: cloudhal deploy --dry-run passes. Tested on a local cloudhal dev copy in light, dark, 390 px and reduced motion.

Merging changes the live home page's hero right away (the block is already on it). The content update (shorter log lines, calmer sections without the scroll story) is a separate publish.
