Summary

golangci-lint v2.5/v2.6 cannot type-check against the Go 1.27 standard library (export data version 4 is greater than maximum supported version 2). CI installs stable Go (now 1.27), so lint — and test, which needs lint — currently fails on every student PR.

  • Bump go to 1.27.0, golangci-lint to v2.14.0, fsnotify v1.10.1.
  • Lint config: disable exhaustruct_v5/gomodguard, exclude gosec G703 (taint twin of the already excluded G304), skip goconst in _test.go; one prealloc fix in a test.
  • README grammar fixes and corrected path/filepath link.

Verification

  • Template: lint shows only the pre-existing stub findings (godox, unused); stub packages fail tests as expected.
  • Template + sample solution: lint 0 issues, all 7 packages pass go test -race.

Bump the go directive to 1.27.0, golangci-lint tool to v2.14.0, fsnotify
to v1.10.1 and the remaining dependencies. golangci-lint v2.5.0 cannot load
export data produced by Go 1.27, which broke the lint job in CI.

Adapt the configuration to golangci-lint v2.14:
- disable exhaustruct_v5, the successor of the already disabled exhaustruct
- disable the deprecated gomodguard linter
- exclude the new gosec G703 rule, a taint-analysis variant of G304
- do not run goconst on test files

The template only contains an unimplemented stub, so lint and tests
cannot pass there by design. Run CI only in student repositories
created from the template.
