  • Every app prints the new manifest format instead of the old [package] table. It holds manifest = 1, an [app] table, a [reads] table when the app reads data, and a full [listing]. Each [app] name is the title an owner sees, such as "Cilantro Taste Test", and the language versions of a demo print the same manifest apart from source.
  • 02-permissions asks for v1/genome/rsids/rs671 as an optional grant and reports whether it was mounted. make run mounts an optional dataset when the fixture root holds it, and OPTIONAL=off leaves them all unmounted, as a decline does.
  • The new 03-sundae-order reads no data. It asks the owner for a flavor, toppings and a card message, one question of each input type, and quotes each answer in its report. make run mounts the answer files from apps/<app>/inputs, and INPUTS=dir points it at other answers.
  • The apps from 03-cilantro-* on move up one number to make room for it.
  • The docs cover optional grants, inputs, [output], [listing], TOML 1.1.0 and display text. They describe how the owner reviews a report before releasing it, and say report pass where they said run pass.
  • tools/run.sh and tools/check.sh share tools/manifest.awk, which reads grants and input names from table, dotted and inline forms and skips the text of multi-line strings. tools/run.sh exits with status 3 when the fixture root lacks a required dataset, and tools/check.sh accepts only that status as the expected stop.
  • tools/check.sh tests the manifest reader on inline manifests, reruns apps with their optional grants declined, and compares the manifests of a demo's language versions. The embedded Python runtime writes UTF-8, so the Python versions can print the emoji in their listings.

The checks build every app and run it on each fixture root, with optional grants both mounted and declined, and with the committed answers. None of the apps ran on an Ark or Ark Emulator. Reports stay Markdown, since the current firmware refuses JSON ones. Ark Hub still uses the old folder names and texts until its own update.
