Version 0.6.0, with one consolidated CHANGELOG entry, the two brief changes, and the Sundown example.

In this PR

  • Version: 0.6.0 in pyproject.toml and chartwright/__init__.py.
  • CHANGELOG: the per-PR "Unreleased" sections are now one 0.6.0 (2026-10-05) entry, with Added, Changed and Fixed, and exact duplicates removed.
    • "Upgrading from 0.5" is new. It lists the fields 0.5 refuses, and the warn-level rules added since design brain 7. That list was read from the rule registry, not written from memory.
    • Intermediate design brain numbers (8 to 16) are gone; only 7 → 17 is stated.
  • Brief:
    • Titles are recommended to name the measure, unit and window; a number belongs in a title only when the spec computes it from data. This replaces "Titles state the answer ('Orders fell 12% WoW')", which goes stale at the next refresh.
    • Colour by role is recommended (an accent for chrome, this period against last as a hue and its tint, status beside an arrow or a word). This replaces "Superset's default palette".
    • All three briefs stay within 150 lines.
  • Skill: it offers those two styles to the user as recommendations before writing a spec, and a style the user asks for wins. It also fixes step 1, where a merge had spliced two versions of the chart-type sentence together.
  • examples/sundown/: the README dashboard.
    • It ships sundown.json, build_spec_sundown.py with its facts.json, seven palettes (coral-teal-v2 by default) and theme/ (the Superset theme and a script that creates it).
    • The README states what it needs to run: the warehouse for apply, and Superset 6.0+ for the theme.
    • The new test_example_sundown.py checks that the shipped spec compiles, that the builder writes it byte for byte, and that every palette builds a valid spec.
  • Docs:
    • The Design Brain's default.value-labels row is corrected for grouped bars.
    • examples/README.md no longer says the taxi spec is unedited; 0.6.0 added its axis titles.

Checks

  • Offline: 2429 passed, 1 skipped. params_drift --all is clean, and the rule table is up to date.
  • advise on the Sundown spec: 0 errors, 0 warnings.

Not done (noted)

  • A small usability gap. An ignore for a tab-level finding needs the positional key (layout.fold-budget@tab-About-row-1); rule@TabName is ignored without a word. Logged for later.
  • What's next: the tag, PyPI and the GitHub Release come after this merges (gate 3). README docs: the V10 README with the Sundown carousel, and eight guides #9 follows.

Version 0.6.0. One CHANGELOG entry with an 'Upgrading from 0.5' section built from
the rule registry. The brief recommends titles that name the measure, unit and
window and colour by role, and the skill offers both as recommendations. Adds
examples/sundown/ (spec, builder, seven palettes, theme) with a test that builds
it in every palette. Fixes a merge-garbled sentence in the skill.
