The discovery index can outlive the latest-release pointer. Include
releaseTagin checksums.json so the website can advertise asset URLs bound to the same dated release as their hashes. Preserve dated releases instead of deleting all but the newest ten, keeping previously advertised downloads available. No skill instruction, helper, generated mount, or attribution changes. The existing consumer accepts the additive field; the website switch follows separately.
Validation: a regression executes the actual workflow metadata-writing step with fixture GitHub outputs. It failed before the fix solely because releaseTag was absent; all 12 packaging/standalone/metadata tests now pass. Generated mounts, Bash helper and Claude hook suites, plus Ubuntu24 network-disabled helper tests pass. One task reviewer and two fresh blind final reviewers found no issues.
After merge, verify the published tag/source SHA, both download digests and bytes, latest promotion, and continued reachability of the preceding dated release.
