Summary

Patch release v0.5.13. It packages everything merged since v0.5.12:

This PR contains only the release-preparation commit.

Approach

  • Version 0.5.13 in Cargo.toml, Cargo.lock and npm/orca/package.json.
  • docs/releases/v0.5.13.md: changes, compatibility, verification and upgrade.
  • Site: releaseVersion, the releases entry, the English and Chinese changelog summaries, softwareVersion, and sitemap lastmod set to 2026-10-20.
  • Built-in price check, as required by docs/release-process.md:
    • The rates and peak hours match https://api-docs.deepseek.com/quick_start/pricing as of 2026-10-20.
    • builtin_as_of moves to 2026-10-20, and a cache-precedence test now derives its dates from it.
    • The 2027 holiday schedule is not published yet, so WEEKDAY_HOLIDAYS is unchanged.

Verification

All checks ran on macOS 26.6.2 (Apple Silicon) with stable rustc 1.97.1.

  • node scripts/release/verify-version-sync.mjs reports 0.5.13. The version-sync, npm-staging and publish-verification script tests pass.
  • All four validators and their test scripts pass, as does scripts/test-repository-hygiene.mjs.
  • npm --prefix site run build and check:seo pass.
  • cargo fmt --all -- --check and git diff --check are clean.
  • Tests:
    • pricing (45) and cost::tests (12) in orca-runtime pass.
    • pricing_contract (4) and public_docs_contract (13) pass.
  • cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets --locked -j 1 has no errors and no warnings in changed files.
  • cargo nextest run -p orca-tui --lib --locked --profile ci-serial --retries 0: 1818 passed.
  • cargo nextest run --workspace --all-targets --locked --profile ci --no-fail-fast --retries 0: 4499 passed, 102 skipped.
  • Main CI after fix: dynamic DeepSeek pricing and the #137–#140 runtime fixes #143 (aee8dfa7):
    • Windows passed.
    • The first Linux run failed runtime_host::an_agent_launched_after_a_finished_turn_starts_its_child_thread.
    • A rerun passed that gate, then timed out in tui_pty_contract::a_queued_message_leaves_the_strip_once_it_is_sent.
    • Both tests passed in fix: dynamic DeepSeek pricing and the #137–#140 runtime fixes #143's PR CI and in the local workspace run above.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Release

    • Released Orca v0.5.13.
    • Updated DeepSeek pricing information and pricing verification dates.
  • Documentation

    • Added release notes and updated the website changelog in English and Chinese.
    • Documented pricing, request-size, computer-input, JSONL metadata, configuration, and compatibility updates.
  • Website

    • Updated displayed version information and sitemap dates across key pages.

Bump Cargo.toml, Cargo.lock and npm/orca/package.json to 0.5.13, and add
docs/releases/v0.5.13.md covering the four merged PRs: current DeepSeek
prices, peak hours, models.dev refresh and user price overrides; smaller
request prefixes and unavailable-tool filtering; computer-use selection,
focus, overlay and cleanup fixes; exec JSONL coalescing and requested-tool
metadata; configuration fallback; README badges and the first-run demo.
Record compatibility changes, supplied live/CI evidence, intermittent main
failures, remaining external workspace checks, and upgrade instructions.

The site advertises v0.5.13 through releaseVersion, the latest release entry,
English and Chinese changelog summaries, softwareVersion and sitemap dates.
Advance builtin_as_of to 2026-10-20 after the supplied official-price check;
leave all rates, peak rules and holidays unchanged. Update its date assertion
and derive the book's cache-precedence test dates from builtin_as_of so the
release date change does not leave a test bound to 2026-10-19.

Checked: stable Rust 1.97.1; env -u NODE_OPTIONS cargo +stable check (updates
Cargo.lock); cargo +stable fmt --all -- --check; verify-version-sync (0.5.13)
and the version-sync, npm-staging and publish-verification script tests;
the Windows platform-boundary, runtime-surface, execution-broker and HTTP-client
validators and all four validator test scripts; test-repository-hygiene;
npm --prefix site ci with PUPPETEER_SKIP_DOWNLOAD=1 (the optional browser
archive failed to extract; three low-severity dependency advisories, no
dependency changes); npm --prefix site run build and check:seo;
env -u NODE_OPTIONS cargo +stable test -p orca-runtime --lib pricing --locked
(45 passed), and cost::tests (12 passed); env -u NODE_OPTIONS cargo +stable
test -p blade-deepseek --test pricing_contract --test public_docs_contract
--locked (4 and 13 passed); git diff --check.
Outside the sandbox: cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets --locked -j 1
(no errors, no warnings in changed files);
cargo nextest run -p orca-tui --lib --profile ci-serial --retries 0 (1818
passed); cargo nextest run --workspace --all-targets --profile ci
--no-fail-fast --retries 0 (4499 passed, 102 skipped). No live GUI tests
ran for this release commit.
