I think I actually prefer the approach @ianmackenzie suggested, with implementing this as a new
hyphenatefunction and deprecatingdasherize.But the last comment on that issue seems to be OK with making this as a breaking change. However that was over 5 years ago so it's definitely open to reconsideration.
