The endpoint-support table lists debug_traceTransaction with an empty note. In practice the public endpoints refuse it:

  • https://node.mainnet.etherlink.com → {"code":-32053,"message":"API key is not allowed to access method"}
  • https://node.shadownet.etherlink.com → same error
  • The Previewnet node (evm.previewnet.tezosx.nomadic-labs.com) answers normally, and its callTracer output follows cross-interface calls into the gateway precompile frame.

Re-verified on 2026-10-16 (octez-evm-node 0.67 on both public endpoints) with mainnet tx 0x19860617a952297f295148c64164526a43086461842a6aed4fff83e3d8a3e136 and Shadownet tx 0x1d586c520103fdc3576de2b8a534d6ddbc9d8ddc3d38161da916138df2ed4f95. Found while building nactrace, a cross-interface call debugger that falls back to 0xTzKT rows when the trace is unavailable.
