Remove the announcement above the homepage headline in both languages. Replace the moon-only theme button with a sun/moon pill control whose sliding indicator shows the current theme, with clearer borders, hover states, and localized action tooltips.
The control retains keyboard operation, saved preferences, system-theme handling, and reduced-motion support, with a 44px-high touch target. At widths below 360px, the header keeps the documentation link and hides the FAQ shortcut so controls remain on one line; FAQ remains available through the documentation navigation and homepage section.
Validation: Astro check passed without diagnostics, production build and 8 artifact/CSP checks passed, and Chromium checks covered Chinese/English home and documentation pages at 320, 375, 390, 768, and 1440 px. Verified keyboard activation, focus visibility, tooltip updates, persistence, dark system preference, blocked storage, reduced motion, and hidden controls without JavaScript. Light/dark desktop and mobile screenshots were visually reviewed. No production deployment performed.
