Anyone who can contribute should have a way to earn.
There are people all over the world ready to put their skills to work. There are projects with problems waiting to be solved. Bringing them together should be one of the most useful things the internet does.
That is why we are building Gibwork.
We believe opportunity should start with what you can do. A first contribution can open a door. A completed bounty can give someone a reason to trust you with the next one. People deserve the chance to show their abilities through work that matters.
Gibwork is a marketplace where people create bounties, contribute their skills, and earn crypto. We started during the Solana Hyperdrive hackathon in 2023. That experience of turning an idea into something real still shapes what we want to build: a place where more people can take part in making things happen.
Useful work deserves a reward.
Behind every bounty is someone who needs something done, and someone else whose time and skill can help. We want to make that exchange easier. We believe crypto can help people pay for contributions across borders and turn a project's resources into opportunities for others.
Clarity is part of respecting people's time.
If you create a bounty, explain what you need. Set clear requirements. Make the reward understandable. Give contributors enough information to decide whether the work is right for them, and review their submissions fairly.
If you work on a bounty, read it carefully. Ask when something is unclear. Submit work you can stand behind. Be honest about what you have done and give credit where it belongs.
Trust grows through those choices. Every clear brief, thoughtful submission, and fair review helps make the next collaboration possible.
Open source deserves support people can act on.
An issue in a repository can become a funded opportunity. A contribution can help a project move forward while giving its author a way to earn. We want more of the software people depend on to have people and resources behind it.
Gibwork is for contributors looking for a place to begin, experienced people ready for their next challenge, and project owners who want to get work done with others. Each brings something the other needs. Our job is to keep making it easier for them to find each other and work together.
We want to build a community that respects effort, follows through on commitments, and welcomes people willing to contribute. That is the standard we want to hold ourselves to as we build.
Bring a problem worth solving. Bring a skill you want to use. Give someone a chance to show what they can do.
Welcome to Gibwork.
