Two changes to the existing file:

  1. Replaces last_affected: 68.1 with fixed: 69.0, so the advisory lists the patched version instead of "None".
  2. Adds two references: the commit Kozea/WeasyPrint@e158264 ("Use HTML parsers for presentational hints"; the background hint value is now parsed as a URL and written with url_to_css(), which escapes it as a quoted CSS string) and the release https://github.com/Kozea/WeasyPrint/releases/tag/v69.0, whose notes call it a security update for CVE-2026-49452 ("Avoid CSS injection with HTML presentational hints").

Evidence: the vulnerable pattern background-image:url({element.get("background")}) is present in weasyprint/css/init.py in the tags v60.0, v65.0, v68.0 and v68.1 and absent in v69.0. v68.1 is the last release before v69.0, so the affected set of released versions does not change.

GitHub's web editor adds a final newline when it saves; there is no other difference.

… references

Replaces last_affected 68.1 with fixed 69.0 and adds the fix commit and the v69.0 release to the references.

Author

Superseded by #10629, which makes the same change through the "Suggest improvements" form (this PR was opened as a draft because of the author open-PR limit).
