As pointed out in a [recent PR](https://github.com/google/keep-sorted/pull/124#discussion_r2961642101), it can be confusing to distinguish between lines which should/shouldn't be offset. We should use type aliases to make sure these operations can be extended/modified safely, without introducing viewing bugs.
