docs(fleet): review-thread stewardship — reply and resolve as fleet actions - #611
Conversation
…ctions
A finding addressed by a fix commit is not closed until the review
thread carries the fix and is resolved. Today's estate sweep closed
seven CodeRabbit threads by hand (rsr-template-repo#240,
choreographic-types#33, occupancy-types#13 x2, CompositionalDA.jl#11,
odraz#19); this makes the loop a fleet capability:
- TOKEN-ARCHITECTURE: echidnabot's action table gains reply-to-thread
(POST pulls/{pr}/comments/{id}/replies) and resolve-thread (GraphQL
resolveReviewThread) — both covered by its existing repo scope.
- BOT-OPERATIONS: the metarule — match finding to thread, fix on the
PR branch (robot-repo-automaton), reply with the fix commit, resolve.
Identity-class findings (HYP-S010) stay owner-ruled: the bot proposes
and replies, never auto-remediates the direction.
- The odraz #19 corollary is recorded: a reviewer bot can confidently
align a uuid to template residue — check which side is the residue
before automating.

Review comments at @docs/BOT-OPERATIONS.adoc:
- Line 108: Update the REST reply endpoint in docs/BOT-OPERATIONS.adoc (line
108) to identify its `{id}` placeholder as a top-level review-comment ID. In
docs/TOKEN-ARCHITECTURE.adoc (line 168), name the REST placeholder `comment_id`
and distinguish it explicitly from the GraphQL review-thread ID used by
`resolveReviewThread`.
- Around line 102-103: Update rule 1 so the PR and file/line class only filter
candidate unresolved review threads, and require exactly one finding-to-thread
match before replying or resolving; leave the thread unchanged when zero or
multiple matches remain.
- Line 109: Update Step 4 so echidnabot resolves addressed findings only after
the required fix lands; keep identity-class findings such as HYP-S010 open until
the owner directs and approves a fix. For verified-invalid findings, use Step
5’s explanatory reply instead of resolving the thread.

ℹ️ No failing CI checks found. No CI/CD pipeline failures were detected for the current commit. If other checks (security scans, code quality, etc.) are failing, those require separate attention. |

- Line 11: Clarify the Deno entry in the runtime and package-management table so
Deno is limited to running compiled ESM/JS and does not replace Bun for
JavaScript dependency installation or management; keep the existing Bun
requirement consistent.

What this changes
Makes the review-thread loop a fleet capability instead of a by-hand chore. Today's CodeRabbit estate sweep (2026-10-15) closed seven threads manually: rsr-template-repo #240 (2), choreographic-types #33, occupancy-types #13 (2), CompositionalDA.jl #11, odraz #19 — each needed a fix, a reply on the thread, and a resolve.
POST /repos/{owner}/{repo}/pulls/{pr}/comments/{id}/replies) and resolve-thread (GraphQLresolveReviewThread). Both are covered by its existingreposcope; no new scopes requested.auto_fixable: false— the bot proposes and replies; the owner rules on direction. The odraz chore(deps): bump uuid from 1.20.0 to 1.22.0 in /bots/accessibilitybot #19 corollary is recorded: a reviewer bot confidently aligned a uuid to template residue; check which side is the residue before automating.Pairs with hyperpolymath/standards#1270 (the rule declarations) and hyperpolymath/hypatia#924 (the live bash detection).
