Notes for release 0.3.0

Features

  • Separate visual customization menu from data manipulation one
  • Add downsampling, smoothing and signal/constant operations to manipulation menu
  • Add slider synchronization between plots (same coordinate)
  • Show only filled nodes in the tree-browser (with IMAS-Core versions that support this feature)
  • Add interpolation to allow comparing profiles from different data-entries (combined coords)
  • Add contour plot for 2D data
  • Add detection (backend) and overplotting (frontend) for some machine description geometries (outlines, rectangle and obliques)

Improvements

  • Extend documentation
  • Keep transpose in saved configs
  • Improve versioning, linting, pytest (backend), e2e tests (frontend), backend install from launch script
  • Complex type support (backend)
  • Force square ratio for same units (default)
  • Plots annotations
  • Frontend compatibility with nodejs 22
  • Various bug fixes
