Hello, I'm Xia Chao

I am deeply passionate about the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem, and I continuously learn, practice, and explore within it.

My interests include frontend and backend development, Node.js, Bun, CLI tools, software engineering, type systems, performance optimization, and developer experience.

I enjoy studying large-scale projects, exploring architectural boundaries, and building practical tools that make development more reliable and efficient.

Through continuous learning, hands-on practice, and open-source contributions, I hope to contribute meaningful ideas, tools, and improvements to the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem.

Areas of Interest

  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Node.js / Bun
  • Frontend and backend development
  • CLI and developer tools
  • Type systems and engineering practices
  • Performance optimization
  • Cross-platform development
  • Open-source research and contribution

My Principle

Keep learning. Keep practicing. Keep creating. Keep contributing.

Naming Origin

In systems programming, “unsafe” means going beyond high-level abstractions and interacting more directly with memory, native APIs, and hardware.

The name javascript-unsafe reflects my expectation that JavaScript will continue breaking through runtime boundaries and gain more system-level capabilities.

As Atwood's Law states:

“Any application that can be written in JavaScript will eventually be written in JavaScript.”

I believe JavaScript will keep expanding beyond traditional scripting and move closer to systems programming.

About

Passionate about JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Bun, developer tools, and open source.
