Some discussion points:

  • 4.26.9S is actually 4.26.7S, but with the additional feature of fresh installation from Ubuntu 24.04 server image.

  • There are some compatibility issues regarding the new kobictl version that supports fresh installation vs updating existing. Should we still introduce this feature in release notes, or add them when everything is resolved (tenatively 4.28S?)

  • New MCP features are related to Test Runs but IQS cannot be enabled on 4.26.9S due to some missing infrastructure software in Standalone. Should we remove them?

My thoughts:

  • kobiCTL is a valuable feature. It should still be mentioned with the caveat that there are known compatibility issues, ie. that one supports fresh install and the other doesn't.
  • Remove MCP features mention. Missing infrastructure software is a big issue that users in general cannot reasonably be expected to work around.
