The in-store password token (/in-store/key=:storeKey/customers/token) only accepted a customer explicitly assigned to that store, so a global customer (no stores) was refused with invalid_customer_account_credentials. That's a regression in 5.0.0.

Changes

  • A customer assigned to the store still wins when the same email exists more than once; otherwise a global customer is signed in
  • A customer assigned only to other stores is still refused
  • Tests for both cases, plus a patch changeset

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

The in-store password flow only accepted a customer assigned to the store,
so a global customer, assigned to none, was refused. A customer assigned
to the store still wins when an email exists twice; one assigned only to
other stores is still refused.
