Regarding Recent Claims About Diversion
Diversion was not based on or derived from Fleasion. We did not copy source code, assets, or implementation details from their project, and we were not aware of Fleasion someone just told me about it recently (may 2026).
We are aware of claims suggesting that Diversion is a fork of Fleasion or that it uses their work. These claims are incorrect.
Recent attempts to associate Diversion with GPL-related claims appear to be based on similarities in functionality rather than any shared code or licensing relationship.
The GNU General Public License v3.0 applies only to code that is distributed under that license. It does not grant ownership over a software concept, feature, or general approach, and it does not prevent independent implementations of similar functionality.
Diversion is a separate product with its own development process, licensing model, and distribution system. We respect open-source software and the developers behind it, but we also want to make clear that independent projects can exist with similar goals without one being derived from the other.
just because we've been paid since 2024 doesn't mean yall could take down someones work because you decided to make something similar have it for free and call it "stolen work". have some respect
Important
Project Clarification
Diversion has been independently developed since 2024, originally under the name Flag Browser. The project was created with its own codebase, design, and development process.
For transparency, Diversion maintains its own licensing and distribution model separate from GPL-licensed projects. This project respects open-source software while protecting its own original work and development history.
