[Bug] G923 Xbox Edition on AC Rally

Description

Playing Assetto Corsa Rally on G923 Xbox Edition seems to work flawlessly (FFB and TrueForce) but i can tell exatcly but it had similar feeling as i can remember on Windows. The only thing is that throttle and cluitch are inverted. All pedals had inverted inputs. I can't feel the engine but i think it's a ingame bug. I really can't tell if it's heroic launcher options but if issues persist i will buy the games to test directly without problems.

LED are not working.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Load AC Rally in Heroic with wrapper option: logi-launch --wheel dd (i did without the option and wheel worked correctly)
2. Get in AC Rally
3. Drive

Thanks, this is the best news of the day: Logitech's own force and TrueForce reach your wheel through the SDK route once the game and the SDK agree on the range, which is exactly what #81 is chasing for AC EVO.

The inverted pedals are most likely raw HID: with PROTON_ENABLE_HIDRAW=1 the game reads the pedals straight from the wheel, where released is full scale, while the driver's corrected axes sit on the path the game is bypassing. Invert them in the game's axis settings for now; if you remove that variable and they come right, that confirms it. The rev lights need a telemetry reader for each game and AC Rally has none yet; noted. I will fold this into the registry once #81 lands.

I made a discovery, if i set PROTON_ENABLE_HIDRAW=1 i get no dynamic ffb nor trueforce. If i set it although the throttle and clutch still inverted.

Correction to my earlier reply, your new result makes it clear. The good AC Rally run was the default one, without --wheel dd: that gives the game the wheel's full force feedback over the normal path, which is the right setup for AC Rally. Adding --wheel dd turns on raw HID, and this game's force feedback is DirectInput, which raw HID cuts off, so you lose the feel. So keep --wheel dd off for AC Rally.

The inverted throttle and clutch are the same raw-HID effect: it hands the game the wheel's pedals uncorrected. With raw HID off they come right. There is nothing to fix in the driver here.

Answered: keep --wheel dd off for AC Rally, leave raw HID off, and the pedals come right. The rev lights need a telemetry reader per game, tracked in #87. Closing.

I tested again AC Rally on a windows machine. NO the trueforce is not the same. Same problem as AC EVO, engine rev and some other trueforce effect are missing when i get my hand touching the wheel. At least in AC EVO you get engine rev, in rally you don't get it. Trueforce is not working as you said on your readme.md.

I read your Windows test the wrong way round the first time; corrected here. What you describe is a real gap: on Windows the wheel gets engine rev and more, on Linux the SDK route gives EVO the engine rev only and AC Rally nothing of it. Reopening, because TrueForce parity on the Xbox edition is the goal, not the current state.

The difference has to be in what reaches the wheel, and the only way to see it is the same car and track on both machines. On Windows, run tools/windows-usb-capture.bat from a copy of this repo (USBPcap and Wireshark installed) for a minute of driving in each game, and on Linux the capture script you already use, with the SDK files in place. Attach the four captures here.
