I am a certified IT professional (AZ-104, LPIC-1) with a background in customer communication, turning my passion for technology into a career. I don't just manage systems โ I automate them using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
My focus is on bridging the gap between classic infrastructure (Windows/Linux), modern DevOps workflows, and practical automation.
I believe in GitOps. Instead of manual configuration, I strive for this workflow in my Homelab and projects:
- Code: Write infrastructure configurations, scripts, or modding logic.
- Test: Validate changes locally or through CI pipelines.
- Push: Commit changes to GitHub.
- Deploy: Apply changes to servers, VMs, or modding environments automatically.
- Security: Deep diving into Pentesting (Hackviser CPET) and Web Security
- AI/ML: Exploring Python libraries for Machine Learning
- Cloud Architecture: Advanced Azure scenarios & Entra ID Security
- Modding: Building gregFramework / gregCore for structured and scalable mod development
I actively develop gregFramework/gregCore โ a comprehensive modding framework and community ecosystem for Data Center. Our mission is to provide structured mod development, cleaner APIs, and better workflows for creators. If you're passionate about modding, framework design, or community tooling, this is one of the main projects I pour my time into!
Building the ultimate modding framework for Data Center is a massive undertaking. gregFramework is currently maintained by a passionate core team of three, and we are looking for fellow creators to help us scale this mission!
Your place in the team: We won't throw you into the deep end. Depending on your individual strengths and skills, we will match you with the right areas of the project so you can contribute exactly where you have the most fun.
๐ Language Requirement: A solid grasp of written English is required (without relying on machine translation). Being comfortable speaking English in voice chats is a huge plus, but we completely respect those who prefer to stick to text! ๐
We are looking for motivated volunteers to join our crew across several roles:
- ๐ป Code Wizards: (C#, Rust, Lua, TS, GO) โ Build and expand the core framework and mod packages.
- ๐จ Asset Creators: (3D Models, hardware assets... or more Steves!) โ Bring the framework to life visually.
- ๐ Technical Writers: โ Craft wiki entries, maintain documentation, and write user guides.
- ๐ฎ Alpha Testers: โ Hunt down bugs, stress-test the framework, and provide critical feedback.
- โ๏ธ System Guardians: โ Maintain our Linux servers, Docker containers, and infrastructure.
- ๐ค Community Managers: โ Foster our Discord community, gather feedback, and keep the energy high.
Since this is a passion-driven project, we want to make sure you get as much out of it as you put in. Here is what you can expect when joining the team:
- Real-World Experience: Work on a large-scale, collaborative architecture. Whether it's coding, server management, or technical writing, this is great material for your GitHub profile and resume.
- Skill Level-Up: Learn from your peers, experiment with new technologies, and refine your skills in a low-pressure, supportive environment.
- Community Impact: Your contributions will directly empower players and creators in the Data Center community.
- Creative Freedom: No corporate red tape or rigid deadlines. If you have a brilliant idea, you have the space and support to build it.
- Networking: Join a tight-knit, friendly team of passionate tech enthusiasts and gamers.
Interested in joining the project? Everyone is absolutely welcome! If you want to help shape the future of Data Center modding, send us an email at apply@gregframework.eu, shoot me a quick DM, or drop a message here in the chat.
Thanks again for everything to all our users! <3 Let's rock this thing together!
