v5 inlineRem config not work

V5 inlineRem config not work

Expected behavior

module.exports = withNativeWind({
  input: "./global.css"
  inlineRem: 16,
});

The font-size is still the default 14px, and adding the :root font-size configuration in global.css does not work either.

withNativeWind is not a thing in v5, withNativewind is. Closing this issue as there is no repro.

Here is my solution that you can just copy-paste into your .css file:

  --text-7xl: calc(var(--rem) * 4.5);

lets reopen this.

@danstepanov even with config = withNativewind(config, { inlineRem: 16 }) with the latest preview of v5, this doesnt work.

@danstepanov this is definitely still an issue with v5. Can't quickly change base REM value

fix: use :root font-size as compile-time rem base

A fix is up in #315. The compiler now picks up :root { font-size: 16px } from your CSS and uses it as the rem multiplier at compile time. No metro config option needed. This should cover like 90% of cases.

:root {
  font-size: 16px;
}

If you were using the @theme variable workaround from earlier in this thread, you can remove it once this lands.
