Codex review: needs maintainer review before merge.

What this changes

This PR updates all package and crate versions, native dependency pins, lockfiles, and the changelog for 0.4.1.

Example: Preparing the Darwin ARM64 package for release.

  • Before: The root package and @openclaw/proc-safe-darwin-arm64 are version 0.4.0.
  • After: Both are version 0.4.1, with the root dependency pinned to 0.4.1.

Review scores

Measure Result What it means
Overall readiness 🐚 platinum hermit (4/6) A consistent, narrowly scoped release preparation with no actionable findings; runtime proof is exempt and two native checks remain in progress.
Proof confidence 🌊 off-meta tidepool Not applicable: The supplied maintainer-authored exemption applies to this release metadata PR; no production implementation changes or new authority flow require separate runtime proof.
Patch quality 🐚 platinum hermit (4/6) No actionable review findings were identified.

Product

Kind: Maintenance · Worth it: Yes · Fix scope: Complete
User problem: The latest release does not include the merged Darwin sandbox census correction.
Reason: The supplied maintainer-authored direction is established, and the patch prepares the existing fix for distribution without expanding scope.

Merge readiness

✅ Ready for maintainer review

Keep this PR open: it consistently prepares the unreleased 0.4.1 patch release, with no actionable introduced defects found.

How this fits together

Release metadata feeds the protected-tag workflow, which validates matching versions, builds native packages, verifies publication, and promotes the release.

Technical review

Best possible solution:

Land the coordinated release metadata through the existing protected-tag release process once its required gates pass.

Do we have a high-confidence way to reproduce the issue?

This release preparation introduces no runtime bug to reproduce; static inspection verifies matching versions and pins.

Is this the best way to solve the issue?

The coordinated metadata update follows the documented release contract and the previous merged release preparation.

Codex review notes: model internal, reasoning medium; reviewed against 8a26989de9ad.

Provenance checked

  • Coordinated package, crate, dependency-pin, and lockfile versions keeps the original intent (5ec4c98: The previous release preparation synchronized all package versions and exact native dependency pins for 0.4.0.)
  • Darwin release-note placement keeps the original intent (8a26989: The merged Darwin repair recorded its user-visible outcome under Unreleased; this PR assigns that existing entry to 0.4.1.)

Security

None.

Evidence

What I checked:

  • Exact release-only change: The pinned introduced diff changes only versions, exact internal optional dependency pins, corresponding lockfile entries, and the dated changelog heading; all ten platform versions match 0.4.1. (package.json:3, 6fb224cb295f)
  • Release remains necessary: Current main remains at 8a26989 and declares 0.4.0; the latest published GitHub release is v0.4.0. The Darwin repair merged through fix(inspect): allow Darwin census when translation queries are denied #21 is already on main, while this PR prepares its patch release. (CHANGELOG.md:5, 8a26989de9ad)
  • Established release contract: The validator requires the protected annotated tag to identify latest main and checks root, native workspace, crate, platform versions, exact pins, and nonempty dated release notes; the diff satisfies those metadata requirements. (scripts/validate-release.mjs:9, 6fb224cb295f)
  • Prior release ownership and intent: Merged release preparations for 0.2.0, 0.3.0, and 0.4.0 were authored by Peter Steinberger; chore(release): prepare 0.4.0 #20 used the same coordinated version-bump approach. (package.json:3, 5ec4c9853f24)
  • Validation state and read-only review: The exact head has 22 successful checks and two running FreeBSD ARM64 checks, with no reported failures. Whitespace validation passed and the checkout remained clean; no target code, tests, builds, or second reviewer ran. (6fb224cb295f)
