A figure's name is translated or made up instead of printed #184

Description

@lemarier

The text reader gives a figure a name the document does not print. It translates a French or Spanish label into English, or makes one up for a value printed under a combined label, in prose, or with no label. The prompt says to give the name as printed, and CONTRIBUTING says translating a name does not make two properties the same.

Examples from pull #174, the figures read up to 2026-09-15, checked against the converted text:

  • unique-appliances-ugp-30cr-ec--front-burner-btu, --rear-burner-btu and --voltage (p1): the sheet is French and prints "BTU Avant", "BTU Arrière" and "OPÉRATION".
  • sol-ark-sol-ark-30k-3p-208v--maximum-voltage: the manual is Spanish, and the 500 V appears only in prose on p40 ("rango de voltaje de funcionamiento de 160 VCC a 500 VCC"). No "Maximum voltage" label is printed.
  • emporia-emv3a--altitude and --relative-humidity, and the same two figures for EMV3CT2-A and EMV3CT5-A (p37): the values sit under "Operating conditions". "Altitude" is not printed, and humidity is printed as "0 to 80% RH".
  • bslbatt-b-lfp48-460mh--rated-voltage (p2): the certificate prints "Ratings: 51.2V, 460Ah, 23552Wh".
  • iota-engineering-ilblp-cp15-he-sd--frequency (p1): "50/60Hz" is part of the "Input Voltage" line.
  • powermax-converters-pmts-30--momentary-current-delivery and the PMTS-50 figure (p2) name a sentence: "rated for use on a circuit capable of momentarily delivering not more than: 3000 rms symmetrical Amps".
  • surecall-sc-ac-59v28a-b--output-voltage and --output-current (p5) come from "AC adapter power cable (5.9V/2.8A)", which has no label.
  • pulsetech-pt20-12v-system--maximum-system-voltage and --minimum-system-voltage (p6) come from "12V System: 15V-28V".

Dropping a qualifier gives two different figures one name, or changes what a name means:

  • eg4-electronics-eg4-100ah-wallmount-indoor-battery--cell-voltage-protection (3.8 V) and --module-voltage-protection (60.0 V) are the CHARGE rows on p2. The DISCHARGE rows print the same names with 2.3 V and 44.8 V.
  • progressive-dynamics-pd1610--max-power, and the same figure for PD1618 and PD1620 (p17), are printed "Max Power (Cont)". The "Max Power (Peak)" row prints twice those values.
  • emporia-200a-current-transformer--diameter and --length (p12) are printed "Inside diameter" and "Cable length".
  • volthium-powerstation-1600w--dc-output (p5) holds "12V/10A,24V/10A (MaX 240W)", which is the DC5521 input row, not a DC output.

Expected: a figure's name is the label the document prints, in its language, or the figure is left out when the value has no label.

Actual: the names read as ordinary English labels. The mappings then match them as though a sheet had printed them, so a property can come from a label no document uses.

Next step: add these windows as extractor fixtures, then choose between a prompt rule and a pull check. For example, the pull could refuse a name none of whose words appear in the window's text near the value.
