- SCP-8851-J is not a physical object but a severe 95% budget cut imposed on the SCP Foundation by the Humanity Preservation Association, forcing the Foundation to adopt extremely cheap and ineffective containment methods. This includes replacing lead with aluminum foil, automatic doors with wooden ones (requiring "whoosh" noises), D-Class personnel with cardboard cut-outs, and even selling SCP-3000 as sushi or replacing SCP-682's acid with lemon juice. Ultimately, due to numerous containment breaches resulting from these changes, the Foundation lost all funding and was sold to Facebook.

- Nitrogen triiodide is an extremely unstable inorganic compound, often encountered as an adduct with ammonia, which is a highly sensitive contact explosive. It detonates with a loud snap and a purple cloud of iodine vapor even when touched lightly, or by slight air currents, laser light, or alpha radiation. This extreme instability is due to the large size of the iodine atoms around the small nitrogen atom, leading to high steric strain and a very low activation energy for its decomposition into nitrogen gas and iodine. Despite its explosive nature, it has no practical commercial value due to the impossibility of safe storage and transport, but it is sometimes used for dramatic chemistry demonstrations.
