TL;DR
Expand local stdio MCP from seven to 17 tools so account authorization, sender management, diagnostics, version/help and eligible self-update are available through the same service boundary as CLI commands.
Why
Users should not have to leave a local MCP client for supported CLI workflows. Authorization still requires human sign-in/approval, and local credentials remain private.
How / What
Add asynchronous login/pair with session-bound opaque progress and cancellation, stop pending polling on disconnect, and expose rename/logout, privacy-safe support output, version/capabilities and ownership-checked self-update. Preserve protocol-only stdout, existing send validation and the send-only automation boundary. Update the Windows executable's expected tool count and document hosted/local differences.
Verification
go test -race ./...andgo vet ./...: passed on macOSARM64.git diff --check: passed. Native Windows qualification is delegated to the existing CI/release matrix on this exact head.
