The project is dead, use another package

It looks like this project is dead because there are no commits into this repo since 2018,

But there is a bunch of packages which provide more options than this one:

1. Customized version number template
2. Allows to use full commit SHA or current branch name in this template
3. Separated templates for tagged commit, next commits after tagged one and unstashed/dirty changes (Add 'dirty' flag feature #19)
4. Initial version if there are no tags in the current branch (Error message confusing if a tag is missing #3)
5. Development releases (prereleases) support

My package https://github.com/dolfinus/setuptools-git-versioning handles all these features and even more than that.
